Nowadays, there are a lot of wellness resorts and therapies centres, raising awareness about lifestyle habits. It has become an everlasting quest that makes us doubt our choices about health, contentment, happiness in life. Holistic therapy addresses the quest by investigating the patient as a whole rather than focusing on a particular illness or sickness or a problem. There are many educational centres that are introducing these therapies in a specialized manner, whereas the researches are ongoing to further polish and broaden their role in the arena of healthcare services. 

What are holistic therapies?

It is an integrated approach towards the healthcare system. Also indicated as alternative treatment, it relates the issues in mental, physical and spiritual approach of a person and rectifies it as a whole. Holistic therapy helps an individual identity the underlying issues and disturbances in a person’s life and treat them exclusively.  

Common treatable symptoms under Holistic Therapy:

Beginning from mere stress, it can lead to serious emotional conditions such as a lack of self-esteem and self-confidence. The emotional disturbances cause serious issues to your health condition in the longer run. Holistic therapy makes you feel good enough of yourself, so you find a purpose in living. There are many challenging times in our life, such as poor financial condition, loss of your loved one or any failure, in general. It can be distressing, but some people can’t cope up with such life conditions and ultimately fall into disappointment, stress and emotional weakness. However, life coaches believe that you can pick up on self-worth, and build resilience and come back to your full potential through some alternative treatments.

While there are many types of holistic therapies, the most commonly used therapies are Acupuncture, Psychotherapy, Hypnotherapy, Meditation, Reiki and Reflexology.

 

  • Psychotherapy – It deals with anxiety, stress and fear related to uncertainties in life. The therapist/qualified practitioner tries to navigate your unwanted stress and emotions in the right direction. Moreover, he will guide you towards the precise tools to manage your feelings as well.
  • Life coaching– Life coach paves a path towards a life you want by providing solution-based ideas to your general problems. 
  • Neuro-linguistic programming: NLP is another effective holistic therapy that is an integrated approach to find connections between your thoughts and behaviors.
  • Emotional Freedom Technique — EFT is an alternative treatment for physical and mental issues such as pain, discomfort or stress. It uses the art of tapping in a particular manner to release your negative energies and project positive affirmations. 
  • Hypnotherapy —Another alternative treatment by creating hypnosis through focused attention and increased suggestibility to help treat individuals their anxieties, pain, and other concentration issues. 
  • Reiki: Reiki uses a technique of palm healing which make use of universal energies to refresh your mind, body and soul.
